Who are you?

My Name is Mark Sparks and I'm a student and fitness enthusiast, who lives in the Queens Quay.


Why are you running?

I am running for City Idol because I feel that our city is one of the best in the world, and that many voices go unheard in critical policies formed all the time because of the lack of excitement in the political system. I am running for city idol so that I can learn more about our city and the practicals of our political system and to help make Toronto a better city, all while meeting interesting and exciting people and taking part in this amazing opportunity. 


What should a City Councillor be?

I believe a city councilor should be a great listener, leader and a person who is not afraid to stand with integrity.

I feel that with my experience working with the city and in many customer service roles that I am well suited to succeed as a public servant, which is what a city councilor must be; a servant to the people.

We need new leaders.
