Candidate:
Mike Noble

Who
are you?
This existential question haunts us all. If I could answer it in 4 lines,
I’m sure I would find greater peace. Oh darn, now I’ve gone
and used half my space. Well, I write, I perform sketch and improv comedy.
I’ve led the Sierra Club’s Car Free Day campaign for the
last few years, so I’m a big fan of walking, cycling and transit.
I escaped the suburbs to live in downtown Toronto, which I love. I have
a family. They mostly like me, and would probably vote for me.
Why are you running?
I'm excited by this city. You can walk in the street blindfolded, pick
one person at random to share a drink with and be amazed at what you
could learn from them. Toronto is full of brilliant people from all
over the planet. I truly believe that with that energy, we can create
a city we can only dream about today. As a city councillor I could help
make that happen.
What should a City Councillor be?
A City Councillor should dream 50 years down the road about what Toronto
can and should be and figure out how to get there. Tell people their
vision, and go for it. Work like a great coach to study the way cities
are made and then get the most our of every single person to make that
vision a reality.
Anything else?
I like baseball,
jiu jitsu, cooking, eating, music, dancing, sunshine, grass, puppy dogs,
ice cream, babies, elderly people, pretty much every generation really.
One of my favourite things is breathing. I do it any chance I get.

We need new leaders.
