Candidate:
Raza Ul Jabbar

Who are you?
My name is Razaul Jabbar. I am living in Scarborough South in the greater
city of Toronto for the last 25 years. For my educational background,
let me say that I am having a Master’s Degree in Commerce (M.Com.).
Later, I became Chartered Accountant. I also acquired Law Degree (LL.B.)
from Bombay University, India, which I have updated in Canada at the
University of Toronto. Until recently I had been working with the Federal
Government. I was having the position of an auditor. I have also served
the provincial government’s Ministries of Health and Consumers
& Commercial Relations. With these tenure of services, I have acquired
experience in accounting, auditing, legal matters and organizational
abilities. On hobby side, I write short stories in Indian languages.
I am an author of seven books on which I have received literary awards
nationally and at international level. I am 69 years old.
Why are you running?
When I have the ability and urge to do more, I think I should be willing
to offer my services for a good cause. My multiple experience and expertise
are likely to be an asset to the team work of the city councilors.
What should a City Councillor be?
In my opinion, a city councilor should be a diligent leader. He should
be sincere, honest, trustworthy and knowledgeable. He must be connected
to the people.
Anything else?
I am a physically challenged person, confined to wheelchair for my living.
I hope, my success will be a great source of inspiration to many who
feel disappointed or dejected. I am married, having two grown-up children
and five grand children.

We need new leaders.
